A Halloween Treat from Spellbinders

This month’s Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month is all about spooky fun! For August 2026, the Clubs went full Halloween, and this adorable Mummy design, Frank-n-Stitch, absolutely stole the show.

Halloween Mummy Card created with Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month – August 2026 by Crafty Cornerstones.

The die set includes a separate insert for stitching, but I decided to skip the thread this time and go for a clean, layered look using just the outer pieces. It’s a great way to get creative even if stitching isn’t your thing!

Cutting and Prepping the Pieces

The set comes with three different sizes of mummy strips, so I cut three of each for good coverage—though I ended up using seven of the nine strips.

I used leftover patterned paper with a linen texture for the strips, Albaster cardstock for the teeth, and Raven for the eyebrows and sentiment. Instead of die‑cut eyes, I added googly eyes from my stash for extra personality.

Assembling the Mummy

For my base, I chose Peridot cardstock to give the mummy a fun pop of color. Before adhering anything, I arranged the strips to make sure there was room for the teeth and sentiment.

Once I liked the layout, I attached the teeth behind the two strips that would hold them in place, then adhered all the mummy strips. Finally, I added the googly eyes, eyebrows, and sentiment—intentionally offsetting the letters for a playful, imperfect look.

The Finished Card

And that’s it! A quick, easy, and festive Halloween card that’s perfect for the spooky season.

I absolutely love the Spellbinders Clubs. I subscribe to the All Crate Club, which includes a few extra goodies beyond the individual clubs—but you can also subscribe to just the ones you love.

Check out all the Clubs here. Did you spot a past club you missed? You can still find many in the Club Archives while supplies last.
