Masculine Handmade Gift Tags | Easy Gift Tag Ideas with Gina K Designs

Creative Masculine Gift Tag Inspiration for the Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop

This month for our Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop we had the optional theme of Guys. I will be honest, I had never really thought about creating gift tags specifically with a masculine focus, so this challenge pushed me in a fun new direction. In the end, I created two tags that were simple to make but full of personality and impact.

In the end, I created two very different masculine gift tags using stamp sets from Gina K Designs. Both tags were simple to make but have plenty of personality and would be perfect for birthdays, Father’s Day, or any special occasion.

Tag #1 – Mr. Fix-It Toolbox Tag

For my first tag, I created a toolbox-themed design using the Mr. Fix It Stamp and Die Set from Gina K Designs. This stamp set has quickly become one of my favorites because of all the fun little tools included in the set.

I stamped and die cut the tools, then colored them using Olo Markers in the following colors:

  • O 4.6
  • O 4.3
  • R 1.5
  • CG-5
  • CG-3
  • B 4.3
  • B 4.6

To create the toolbox, I used Warm Cocoa ink from Gina K and dragged the ink pad directly across the cardstock to create a woodgrain effect. I added a second strip of the same wood grained cardstock to form the lip of the box. To ensure the box aligned perfectly with the tag shape, I adhered it to the patterned paper first and then used a tag die to cut everything together.

Once the tag was cut, I added the tools and secured them in place. To finish the tag, I stamped the Mr. Fix It sentiment using embossing ink and heat set it with fine white embossing powder.

Tag #2 – Great Outdoors Fishing Tag

For my second tag, I used The Great Outdoors Stamp Set from Gina K Designs. This set contains a wonderful assortment of silhouette images that are perfect for creating scenic designs.

I began by ink blending a sunrise using Gina K inks in Red Velvet, Red Hot, Coral Reef, Sunkissed Coral, and Wild Dandelion.  The combination of these colors created a vibrant sunrise sky that became the focal point of the tag.

Once the background was complete, I stamped the rock silhouette, fisherman image, and Happy Birthday sentiment using black ink. The silhouettes stand out beautifully against the colorful sky and instantly create a peaceful outdoor scene.

After all of the stamping was complete, I centered my tag die over the design and cut out the finished tag.

Masculine Tags Can Be Fun Too

These two tags reminded me that masculine projects don’t have to be difficult. Whether you choose a toolbox theme, an outdoor scene, sports, fishing, or other hobbies, there are plenty of ways to create handmade gift tags that feel personal and thoughtful.

I had so much fun working with this month’s optional theme, and I can definitely see more masculine gift tags in my future.
