Quick & Festive Santa Holiday Card

Quick & Festive Santa Holiday Card

Today’s project was created for the A Perfect Time to Craft monthly challenge! For November, our fabulous sponsor is Fred She Said, and they provided the adorable digital image I used for this Christmas card.

This month, I decided to use the Little Fat Santa set and went with one of the pre-colored “Fat Santa” designs. The set includes several different sizes and color options to choose from — super convenient if you’re trying to get through holiday cards quickly! But don’t worry if you love coloring your own images — they also offer a line art version so you can make it uniquely yours.

Once I selected the Santa I wanted, I dug through my stash of cardstock (yes… that pile we all collect with the best intentions!). I found a couple coordinating papers and then needed a fun way to bring it all together. That’s when I spotted this super fun double frame die from Penny Black — and it was the perfect fit!

I cut the two pieces of the frame from 2 colors of cardstock — once from a beautiful matching blue and once from a medium gray — and layered them together for dimension. Then I centered the “Fat Santa” behind it and secured everything into place. For the last finishing touch, I added a piece of silver foil shattered glass cardstock behind it, which totally reminds me of a frosted holiday window!

This card is such a quick and elegant project — perfect for holiday crafting, especially if your schedule gets busy (and who doesn’t this time of year?). No matter whether you prefer pre-colored images or coloring line art, there’s truly no wrong way to create!

I encourage you to check out the images from Fred She Said for your next festive crafting session — so many wonderful designs to explore!
