A Quick and Festive Tag Featuring the Strip Embossing Folder

Spellbinders Day Six revealed a strip embossing folder, and it is such a fun tool for creating texture in smaller sections of your projects. Today, I put it to work on a quick and cheerful holiday tag—because I always need more Christmas tags this time of year.

Tag Base

To create the base, I used the Nested Tree Frame Die and cut one piece from white cardstock (back) and another from Spellbinders Lilac cardstock(front) for both the front and back. Using the strip embossing folder, I embossed the Lilac cardstock diagonally across two sections of what would become the front of the tag.

Next, I adhered the front and back pieces together and used a hole punch to create the opening for the tag tie.

Decorating the Tag

To bring in the Christmas theme, I chose one of the snowmen from the Snow Notes Die Set. I cut the main snowman body and sentiment from white cardstock. The remaining pieces were cut from various Spellbinders cardstocks:

• Scarf – Fairy Tail
• Nose – Carrot
• Book – Merlot
• Arms – Truffle
• Pages – Alabaster

After assembling the snowman, I arranged and adhered both the snowman and sentiment to the tag. A simple string finished the project.
