Quick & Easy Easter Gift Tags – Gorgeous Gift Tag Monthly Hop on Instagram

Two simple Easter tag ideas featuring a digital image and die cuts for the Gorgeous Gift Tag Monthly Hop on Instagram

Celebrating the Gorgeous Gift Tag Monthly Hop

I always have such a great time creating tags for the monthly Gorgeous Gift Tag Hop. This hop is simply for fun and for the joy of sharing our creativity with all of you. Each month talented makers come together to showcase their tag designs and inspire one another.

The hop launches on Instagram at 2 PM EST on the 5th of each month, and every month includes an optional theme. The theme for this month was Easter, which made it the perfect opportunity to create a couple of cheerful tags to tuck onto baskets, treats, or spring gifts.

This month I created two quick and easy Easter tags, each with a slightly different approach but both designed to come together quickly.

Tag One: Quick Easter Tag with a Digital Image

The first tag features the Cutest Easter digital image from Anne Constantly Carding. Digital images are such a wonderful way to expand your crafting options.

They are perfect when you:

  • Need a quick design but don’t have time to color
  • Have limited space for storing supplies
  • Want something fast and easy to create with

The possibilities with digital images really are limitless.

After printing and selecting my image, I grabbed a pre-made tag base I had in my stash. To add texture and interest, I embossed the tag using the Ornate Eggs Embossing Folder from Spellbinders.

To highlight the beautiful texture, I lightly swiped white pigment ink across the raised areas. This simple technique helps the embossing stand out while still keeping the look soft and subtle.

The digital image was then cut using the Embossed Wavy Edge Die and Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness, and secured to the tag.

To finish things off, I added a silver ribbon, creating a sweet and simple Easter tag ready to attach to a gift.

Tag Two: Scrap Paper Easter Bunny Tag

For my second tag, I decided to use some extra pink paper pieces left over from another project. Using scraps is always a fun way to create something new without pulling out lots of supplies.

I cut background papers from the Cutest Easter digital set and layered them onto the pink tag base.

Next came the star of the tag — an adorable bunny created with the Bunny Buddies Die Set from Spellbinders. Before assembling the bunny, I lightly blended a soft gray ink onto the pieces to add a little dimension and depth.

Once the bunny was assembled, I attached it to the tag and added a coordinating string.

In less than an hour I had two quick, easy, and festive Easter tags ready to go.
