Crafting a Versatile Card with Conie Fong’s Bootiful Bouquet

For our July A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge, we were thrilled to have Conie Fong Art as our sponsor. I chose her stunning Bootiful Bouquet digital image to create a versatile card that can be used for many different occasions.

Creating the Card

I began by downloading the digital stamp and resizing it to fit an A2 card base, as the original image is full-page size. Once resized, I printed it out and brought the image to life using alcohol markers from multiple brands.

The bright white background of the paper felt a little stark, so I softened it by swiping Ohuhu’s Honolulu Y010 (a light yellow) across the background. It added just the warmth I needed without distracting from the floral details.

TIP: Don’t be afraid to mix alcohol marker brands! Using markers from different sets and companies opens up a world of color possibilities.

Once the coloring was complete, I trimmed the image to fit just inside a scalloped frame cut with the Mixed Scallop Rectangle Dies from LDRS Creative. This added a soft, elegant touch.

To finish the card, I used a corner rounder on all four corners of the card base for a polished look. I decided to leave off a sentiment for now so that I can personalize it when I’m ready to use it—whether it’s for a birthday, thank you, or just because!

Conclusion:

Leaving the sentiment off this card was a purposeful choice—it allows the beauty of Conie Fong’s Bootiful Bouquet to take center stage while keeping the design adaptable for a range of occasions. Whether you need a heartfelt thank you, a cheerful birthday wish, a thinking-of-you note, or a simple “hello,” this card can be tailored perfectly in the moment. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the most versatile cards are the ones we personalize when inspiration strikes.
