Have you ever received a card request that made you pause and think, “How am I going to pull this off?” That was exactly my reaction when a friend asked me to create a wedding card featuring only white cowboy boots—and absolutely no other colors, except for maybe a touch of black or silver.
At first, I’ll be honest… I thought, What a boring card—all white? My mind immediately went into problem-solving mode, running through ideas and questioning how to make this come together without it looking flat or plain.
But you know what? This project ended up pushing me way outside my comfort zone, and I’m so glad it did! I’m thrilled with how the card turned out—and even better, my friend loved it too.
Embracing the Challenge
This experience reminded me that some of our best creative work can come from the most unexpected challenges. I had to think outside the box, layer textures, play with shine, and stretch my supplies in ways I never thought possible. Not everything turns out perfect every time, but the creative journey is always worth it.
