Wow, March has flown by, and we’re almost stepping into April! For those of you who may not know, I’m lucky enough to be part of the Design Team for A Perfect Time to Craft. This month, we had the pleasure of working with two fantastic sponsors: Moondrea Designs and Anne Constantly Carding. For my project, I chose to use a gorgeous card topper from Anne Constantly Carding, and I’m so excited to share how it all came together!

What’s a Card Topper?
For those new to card making, a card topper is a pre-printed design that you can easily print at home and use for your projects. It’s a simple, hassle-free way to create stunning cards in a snap! The set I used is called Gills Floral Arrangements, which includes a variety of card toppers. The pack also came with coordinating patterned paper, but I decided to focus on just one of the beautiful card topper designs for this project.

Why Choose a Card Topper?
A card topper is perfect when you need to make a beautiful card quickly, whether you’re short on time or just want a stunning result with minimal effort. It’s also a great option for beginners, as it takes the guesswork out of the design process and makes card making much more accessible. For those more seasoned crafters, it’s a wonderful tool to have on hand when you want to create without having to start from scratch.
Creating the Card
To begin, I printed out my card topper (I did resize it to fit my project needs). Once I had the design printed and ready, I gathered a few supplies and set to work assembling the card. To make the design really pop, I chose a complementary color for the shadow layers and added some texture with an embossing folder.
I used the Altenew Natural Wicker Pattern Embossing Folder to add some dimension to the background, giving the card a more finished and polished look. It’s a small detail that really elevates the final result!

The Supplies Used:
- Gills Floral Arrangement from Anne Constantly Carding (digital download)
- Altenew Natural Wicker Pattern Embossing Folder
- Scrapbook.com Decorative Dies Set – Nested Hexagons
- Spun Sugar Distress Oxide (for the sentiment)
- Scrapbook and Cards Today Sentiment from the With Love event kit
- Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder
- Colored Cardstock
Final Thoughts
I absolutely loved how this card turned out – it was so quick to make, yet so beautiful! If you’re looking for an easy way to create stunning cards without spending a lot of time, I highly recommend using card toppers. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, they are a great tool to add to your collection.
